Isaiah 12 - Bible Study in 5 Minutes
Isaiah 12 Short Summary:
In Isaiah 11, Isaiah prophesied about the arrival of the Branch from the stump of Jesse, the Messiah King, who would save the Jewish people some time in the future. Isaiah 12 prophesies the response of God’s people when the prophesied events came to pass. The people of Israel and Judah would turn back to God, praise Him, and promote His holy name throughout the nations.

OUTLINE:
THANKSGIVING TO THE LORD OF SALVATION (12:1-6):
When God’s savior and king reigned (see Isaiah 11), the people of Israel would give praise to God for His kindness.
They would enjoy a period of God’s blessing after His anger subsided.
Instead of seeking shelter and strength from unreliable foreign allies, the people would finally look to God for strength.
They would worship God and promote His name throughout the nations.
They would appreciate God’s greatness and would be thankful that His presence was in their midst.
APPLICATION:
Isaiah prophesied that God’s people would respond to the Messiah king by worshipping Him and promoting Him to others.
I think it’s fair to say our response should be the same.
Looking at your life, can you say it’s full of worship? Do you worship with other believers? Do you worship personally? Is worship a priority in your week?
Looking at your life again, can you say that you often promote God and His greatness to other people? Do you make any efforts to tell others about Jesus? Do you talk about Him highly to your acquaintances and friends?
The more time you spend appreciating God and our Savior, the more worship and promotion come naturally.
