It is Well With My Soul

Throwback picture to when God came through for me and a lesson from Mark:

I was reading in Mark 14 today, and it was the night before Jesus was going to be arrested and crucified. ⁣

He was just about to foretell Peter’s denial of Him, but before that, scripture says they “sung a hymn” in vs 26. ⁣

And that caught my attention, because how amazing is it that the night before our Lord is betrayed by His friends and is crucified, He sang praises to the Father?⁣

How many of us could say the same? I’m not sure I could. ⁣

I’m quick to sing praises to the Father when things are going well, but when I am suffering, my praise is a bit of tune.⁣

But, Im on a mission to be a woman who has a song of praise in her heart that is rooted not in circumstances of the moment, but in the trustworthiness of God. ⁣

Thankful that the Helper and Comforter provides for me even when I am a bit off tune most days.⁣

And knowing that He is able to compose my circumstances into a beautiful symphony used to draw others toward Him. ⁣

“I waited patiently for the LORD;⁣

he inclined to me and heard my cry.⁣

He drew me up from the pit of destruction,⁣

out of the miry bog,⁣

and set my feet upon a rock,⁣

making my steps secure.⁣

He put a new song in my mouth,⁣

a song of praise to our God.⁣

Many will see and fear,⁣

and put their trust in the LORD.” Psalm 40:1-3
